How did you come to know Christ?
I was raised in a Catholic family where I heard about God and Jesus, but I had always been told that I had to do enough good acts in order to earn God's love and approval. When I was 16 I was involved in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and I heard the truth of the gospel for the first time. I realized that the death of Christ had conquered sin and my approval was purchased in that sacrifice. That is when I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I have been following Him ever since.

Favorite Verse:
Romans 5:8, "And while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

If you were stranded on a deserted island, which three books (besides the Bible) would you want with you?
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti, My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers

Which Biblical character (apart from Christ) has impacted your life most?
Job

What are you currently learning in your journey with God?
That it is better to be in the will of God than anywhere else. That we should be more afraid of not being in His will than being somewhere that seems to be safe and comfortable. In the midst of that truth, I have realized that God has gifted all of us with spiritual gifts and He is the one that gets to decide how to use those gifts, so it is best to be where He desires.

What is your favorite movie?
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

What do you enjoy most about Chapel of the Cross?
The people! I have never felt anything less than cared for and welcomed at Chapel.

I love sports, outdoors, food, movies, and people.
