Chapel Weekly Update - April 30, 2020

2020-05-03-Daniel-2-Sermon-Large

This Week's Online Sunday Service

In Part Two of our Control in the Midst of Chaos series, we will find comfort that God Knows the Future. Daniel's life story reveals how God's wisdom, sovereignty, and power can affect our view of the people and circumstances in our lives. We may not know the future, but the God who loves us does. Because of that, we can trust Him.

Watch on our YouTube Channel: Chapelcares or at our Chapel Website, click "View Sunday's Service"
Part 2: God Knows the Future
Scripture: Daniel 2:1-49
Communion: We will share communion during the service, so have your elements prepared if you would like to participate.

Thank You From Pastor Derek

I wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I appreciated seeing everyone for my birthday parade this past Sunday. Being able to see so many of you was a wonderful gift and brought me joy during this time of sheltering-at-home.

I'm looking forward to another year of life, and I am thankful to be here at Chapel as we continue to do our best to reach this community for Christ.

So thanks again and may God richly bless and protect you and yours during this challenging season.

Blessings in Christ,

Pastor Derek

Online Beth Moore Study

Chapel Women has launched an online women's study to coincide with the Daniel sermon series. Gathering on Zoom on Monday evenings at 7:30 pm, women will meet to discuss what God revealed to them through His Word. Beth Moore's study, Daniel: Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy, provides a platform for deep reflection and intimate discussion. This Saturday morning, May 2nd, there is an opportunity to catch the video for week one, and then Monday night's regular program continues the series. Contact Kylie Gibbons, Women's Leader, for connection details. We hope you join in!

Community Outreach

Community Mask Initiative. Volunteers from Chapel have already made over 50 masks to donate to community organizations in need. Can you help make masks or donate supplies to make them? We are recruiting sewers to help make masks for some community organizations as well as to have some at Chapel for when our building reopens. We are in need of ¼” elastic and fabric. Contact Jennifer White, Office Administrator, if you can help!
