Chapel Weekly Update May 14, 2020

2020-05-17 David 4 Large-1080

This Week's Online Sunday Service

Daniel Chapter 4 reveals how God humbles prideful hearts. Nebuchadnezzar's experience with God will teach us that we are created and blessed by the Creator.  It is God who grants us our success. Through personal encounters with the True and Living God, God can shape and humble us, and we can find peace in acknowledging the power and sovereignty of God.

  • Tuesdays from  7 - 8 PM
  • Zoom Platform, see Chapel Men’s Email or contact men@chapelcares.com for connection link

The mission of Converge is to Start and Strengthen Churches Worldwide! It has been my privilege to serve as the Executive Minister of Converge Northeast for a little over a year. Regional Partner: Pleasant St. Baptist Church (Downtown Worcester church), Pastor Josh Chambers, Josh.chambers05@gmail.com

These are certainly interesting times. In the past few weeks, our people have been going through a lot. We have many refugee families that are in our congregation. Many of them are experiencing great stress, fear, and anxiety during this time. They are unsure of how to proceed with life at the moment. Luckily, many of the men are able to keep their jobs at the hospitals, since they are considered “essential workers”. We also have many elderly people in our congregation that have been affected by this virus. Some have known loved ones that have become ill, and they are also worried at this time.

However, we have seen God work through this in miraculous ways. He has continued to provide for us and we have seen how the gospel creates contentment and hope, even in the midst of trying times. Our people are holding fast to the faith that they possess and have been growing in their relationship with Christ. We have been able to stay in constant contact with our members through this time because of God’s great gift of technology. We have been able to pray with one another, care for one another, and love one another. We have been able to record our services for our people. We are praying that the gospel will go forth and people will come to faith during this time and that the believers would be strengthened and encouraged through the Word of God.”
