What if...?
What if we truly were a church that gathered locally, but with a diversity of people that loved each other as family?
What if we went against the grain of our society and truly did everything we could to not forsake gathering together?
What if we didn’t look for a church full of people just like us, but we desired to attend a church that embraced many different types of people that together made a more powerful body?
What if we were a church filled with people born in different places, but all reborn by the same God?
What if our church was not a place to cater to my preferences and build me up, but was a place where I died to myself and built others up?
What if our church worship services really did give us a glimpse into what worship in Heaven might be like?
What if we wanted to gather with our church family more than our Celtics, Patriots, or Red Sox family?
What if we were a church that truly didn’t forsake gathering as Scripture says?
What if our church really was reaching every tribe, tongue, and nation?
What if we were a church that didn’t just see random faces in the room, but a place where we knew the names of our brothers and sisters?
What if we were a church that saw the older generation actively investing in the lives of the next generation?
What if we were a church that never lacked for volunteers and leaders because everyone believed they were a vital, needed, and connected part of the body?
What if we were a church that if we disappeared from our community, the community would truly notice and grieve our passing?
What if we were a church not known for its beautiful building, but known for its Godly people who have been transformed by the gospel?
What if we truly believed that God created the church to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ?
What if we were a church that every member was a minister, not just the paid staff?
What if we were more than a church that gathered on Sundays but we were a church that lived in community?
What if we were a community that connected, cared, and discipled people?
What if we were church community that noticed every visitor and did everything we could to connect them to our family?
What if we were a church community that actually knew the name of the people who sit around me?
What if we were a church community that was completely unified and shared the mind of Christ in all things?
What if we were a family...
a diverse family...
that gathered from all over world...
and we didn’t just gather...
but loved each other in community...
by connecting with each other...
by caring for each other...
and discipling each other...
all for God’s Glory?
What if that was our church?
