Whether your child(ren) join us online (see video links) or in-person this week, they are going to learn that God is our defender. They will discover that the Israelites needed God’s help, and God protected them. God protects and defends us, too.

Through learning about this event, children can be encouraged that God fights for us today!  Help your children understand that God was keeping His promise to give His people the land.  God answered the prayers of His people. He fought for Joshua and the Israelites, saving them and giving them victory over their enemies.  God was glorified when His people loved and obeyed Him.

Miss Chapel Kids Registration for Sunday morning?

The registration form closes on Wednesday nights so that we can prepare the classrooms and determine room capacity.  However, if you missed the sign-up, please send in an email, and we will see what we can do! We understand that families have busy lives, and we will do our best to be flexible.

Parenting Tip: Teaching Kids to Pray God's Promises

One of the most practical ways to raise children who are powered by God's promises is to teach them to pray them! When we pray God's promises, we are telling God we trust Him to keep His Word.  For example, in this unit our key verse has been Deuteronomy 31:8:

The Lord is the one who will go before you.
He will be with you;
he will not leave you or abandon you.
Do not be afraid or discouraged.

When your child is afraid or discouraged, you can teach them to pray this promise. "Lord, you promise to never leave me or abandon me."

God keeps every promise He has made.  His Word cannot be broken.  May we all raise our children to live each day of their lives in the power of His promises!  And may we do the same!
