Meal Ministry

“…For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in….The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of my brothers of mine, you did for me.’ “ Matthew 25:35,40 (NIV)

Want to join the Meal Ministry Team which helps provide meals to our church members and attendees in times of need?  Volunteers are not expected to provide a meal for every meal train. If you are interested in being a part of this team, please sign up below.

How does it work?
The meals ministry coordinator is made aware of a need. Meal Ministry volunteers and the individual's small group members are contacted and asked if they can provide a meal, either home-cooked or purchased, and deliver it.

How do we serve?
It depends on the need. In most cases, meal trains will be set up to provide 3-4 meals a week for two weeks. Sometimes we will provide more, sometimes less, depending on the needs of the family. The ministry coordinator will send out an email with the details of the need to the meal ministry team and to the individual's small group(s), including a link to an online scheduling tool.

What are the guidelines?
We provide a complete meal and deliver it to the recipient. The meal can be store-bought, homemade, frozen, or just about anything! The meal does not have to be fancy or gourmet. We try to accommodate allergies and food preferences when possible. Anything given with love is appreciated!

How can I request a meal for my household or another Chapel household?

You can fill out the online request form, call the office at 508-870-0001, or email office@chapelcares.com.  If you are requesting meals for someone else who attends Chapel, please be sure you have asked their permission to pass their information along.
